Funding community clinics and investing in the clinic workers dedicated to serving low-income communities of color is a matter of equity and justice. We are calling on Gov. Newsom and the California legislature to fulfill the promise of a healthy California for all by increasing ongoing funds to our community clinics and supporting Senate Bill 1014. Increased investment in clinics and SB 1014 will improve access to care by:

  • Addressing workforce needs
  • Raising wages for clinic workers
  • Providing for opportunities for training that improve quality of care.

Community clinic workers know that long-term underfunding has left clinics unable to meet the healthcare needs of our patients or address the healthcare worker shortage in California. Hear directly from clinic workers about why it’s essential for our elected leaders to support SB 1014 and the Commit to Community Care Plan to increase ongoing funding for community clinics in our state budget.
