WE DID IT! We won $1,000 in state funding for retention bonuses!

We did it! Our statewide movement of community clinic workers secured retention bonuses for all community clinic workers in California. $1,000 bonuses will be awarded to approximately 70,000 clinic workers across the state. These retention bonuses recognize our hard work and sacrifice and couldn’t have come at a more critical time as our clinics face a retention crisis.

Some clinic bosses have tried to stop us from speaking out about our struggles to make ends meet or to give eery patient the best care possible. Others have joined our movement to support workers and the patients who rely on us. We’d like to thank the following clinics for helping make this victory a reality: Clinica Romera, Salud Para La Gente, Asian Health Services, St. John’s Community Health, Watts Health, West Oakland Health, Healthright 360, and Gardner Health Services.

We can strengthen our community clinics but this will take all of us, working together, to make a difference not only in our own lives but in the lives of the patients who rely on us.
